After 13-year-old cousin Fiona died by suicide, John Owen Lowe posted Emily Dickinson's "Hope Is the Thing With Feathers" to his Instagram Stories, Page Six reports.

Page Six reports that John Owen Lowe, the 30-year-old son of Rob Lowe, shared Emily Dickinson's poem "Hope Is the Thing With Feathers" on his Instagram Stories after his cousin Fiona died by suicide at age 13.

John Owen posted the poem, which begins "Hope is the thing with feathers," as a tribute to his cousin, per Page Six.

Fiona, the middle child of Chad Lowe and Kim Painter, died at the hospital last Tuesday. She was 13. Her family, including sisters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, said in a statement to Page Six that she was "a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance." They added: "She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time."

Mabel, Fiona's older sister, also posted on Instagram. She wrote: "I love you so much fiona ❤️ i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."

The family also urged anyone struggling with mental health to call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
