Heidi Klum's poolside look: a black thong and a dog

Heidi Klum decided the LA heatwave called for extreme minimalism. Page Six reports that the 53-year-old model took to Instagram Thursday to show off her sunbathing style, which consisted of a black thong, aviator sunglasses, and a dog placed strategically on the chaise lounge beside her.

An orange towel was spread underneath. A black Chanel purse and a bowl of what looks like olives sat within arm's reach. The caption: "❤️‍🔥 It's hot in LA."

This isn't the first time Klum has embraced heatwave dressing with maximal skin and minimal fabric. In August, she shared a similar photo in sheer pink lace bottoms and a printed silk scarf draped over her shoulders, tagging Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi — where she's been the face for years.

Earlier this summer, while on a beach vacation with husband Tom Kaulitz, she slipped off a patterned silk sundress to reveal nothing underneath except, as Page Six notes, a $40,000 Bulgari necklace. And in July, she promoted her snack collaboration with Funny-Frisch by munching chips on the beach in just bikini bottoms, using the bag to cover her chest.

The apple doesn't fall far from the underwear tree: Klum and her 22-year-old daughter Leni separately posted for Intimissimi's Oktoberfest-themed collection, both in matching white strapless push-up bras and lace panties. Klum captioned hers in German, writing that it's the secret to a perfect Dirndl look.

So the heatwave is real. Klum is handling it. Pass the olives.
