The Oscar winner and Superman's adoptive mom passed away at her home in Los Angeles.

Eva Marie Saint, the Oscar-winning actress whose roles in "On the Waterfront" and "North by Northwest" made her a Hollywood legend, died Tuesday at 102.

She died of natural causes at her home in Los Angeles, TMZ reports, citing the New York Times.

Saint won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Edie Doyle opposite Marlon Brando in 1954's "On the Waterfront." The film took home eight Oscars, including Best Picture. Three years later she became one of cinema's most iconic blondes playing Eve Kendall, the mysterious spy who matches wits with Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest."

Her filmography stretched across decades: "Exodus," "The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming," "Grand Prix" and "The Sandpiper." On television, she appeared frequently while raising her family, earning an Emmy in 1990 for "People Like Us." Younger audiences know her as Martha Kent, Clark Kent's adoptive mother in 2006's "Superman Returns."

Saint was married to TV director Jeffrey Hayden for more than six decades until his death in 2016. She is survived by their children, Darrell and Laurette, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was 102.
