Patrick Mahomes Sr. Gets Court OK for Chiefs Games

A judge approved the quarterback's father to attend most games while on probation for DWI, TMZ reports.

TMZ reports that Patrick Mahomes Sr. received court permission to attend his son's NFL games this season while still on probation in a criminal case. He filed documents requesting to travel to Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Cincinnati for games.

As part of the arrangement, Mahomes Sr. agreed to submit to urine tests before and after each trip, as requested by his probation officer. The documents also show he completed 160 hours of community service and an outpatient treatment program. His probation officer told the court he had no issues with his SCRAM alcohol monitor device and no problems with drug or alcohol testing.

The judge signed off on the majority of the Chiefs' games but denied the October game in Las Vegas and the December game in Cincinnati. That means Mahomes Sr. will be limited to home games at Arrowhead Stadium.

Mahomes Sr. was arrested in 2024 for a felony DWI in Texas. He was sentenced to probation, drug testing, and community service. Meanwhile, his son Patrick is having a strong start to the season after a torn ACL and LCL in 2025. The Chiefs are 4-0.
