Lori Loughlin on Her 'Year of Yes' and Sexier New Chapter

The 62-year-old actress tells Us Weekly she's feeling more adventurous in fashion and life after divorce and becoming an empty nester.

Lori Loughlin is leaning into a new era. The Full House alum, 62, told Us Weekly she's embracing a more playful, adventurous style as she navigates life after filing for divorce from estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli this fall.

“I’m definitely leaning into having some more fun and feeling a little bit sexier,” Loughlin said, “but in my own way, what makes me feel confident.” She noted that becoming an empty nester this year — her daughters Bella and Olivia Jade are 28 and 27 — has pushed her to step outside her comfort zone.

She cited a recent trip to Disney World with her Full House costars as a turning point. John Stamos insisted she ride a roller-coaster. “I’m like, ‘No, no, no. I don’t do roller-coasters,’” she recalled. “He’s like, ‘No, you do now.’” After the ride, she was hooked and tackled four more that day. “I think that is symbolic of how I’m embracing life right now,” she said.

Loughlin also announced a new capsule collection with LOLA by Laurie Felt, debuting on QVC Monday, October 5. She described the four-piece line as a fun collaboration with her longtime friend, who is also going through a transition. “She convinced me that we should do this,” Loughlin said. They're planning a girls' trip to London together. “It’s the year of yes,” she declared.
