Kylie Jenner is stepping into a major acting role for the first time. Page Six reports, citing Deadline, that Jenner will star in and executive produce the thriller series "Bachelorette Weekend," which is in development at Hulu.

The series follows a bachelorette weekend that turns deadly when the bride is found murdered in the pool, and her closest friends become suspects. Jenner's character, the bride, is described as the "North Star of the series," with the story piecing together events leading up to her death.

The project comes from author Lauren Oliver and Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment, based on an unpublished book by Flora Collins. "Bachelorette Weekend" is a working title.

Kim Kardashian is also an executive producer. According to Page Six, the script was sent to Kardashian, who immediately thought of her younger sister for the lead role. Once she brought the project to Jenner, she quickly signed on.

Jenner, 29, previously appeared in Charli XCX's mockumentary "The Moment," playing a fictionalized version of herself. This new role marks her first major scripted acting part. Kardashian, meanwhile, has been expanding her own acting career with roles in "American Horror Story: Delicate" and upcoming projects like "All's Fair" and "The Fifth Wheel."

It's another example of the Kardashian-Jenner family moving into scripted television, with the two sisters now producing and starring together.
