Halle Berry and son Maceo step out after ex's abuse claims

Page Six reports that Halle Berry spent Sunday at Sky Zone in Los Angeles with her 12-year-old son, Maceo, and her fiancé, Van Hunt. The outlet obtained photos of the group, which also included Maceo's friends, and of a later stop at Best Buy.

Berry, 60, wore a black camisole, green cargo pants and a cream fedora. Hunt, 56, and Maceo kept it casual in graphic tees.

The weekend outing came days after Berry's ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, filed a restraining order request accusing her of child abuse.

The allegations

Page Six reports the filing included Martinez's accusations that Berry jumped on Maceo, put her hands around his neck and choked him on Sept. 26. It also included text exchanges in which Maceo pleaded with his dad to pick him up from Berry's home. Martinez claimed Maceo later told him about the alleged incident, and Berry wrote to Martinez that she felt "terrible" about the "fight" with their son, which was allegedly over a virtual reality game.

Martinez also alleged "abusive conduct," an "alcohol abuse" problem and racially charged statements to Maceo about him. He asked for sole custody instead of the former couple's 50/50 arrangement, and Page Six reports the request was temporarily granted. Berry is now on court-ordered visitation two days a week and every other weekend until the next hearing on Oct. 16.

The denial

Berry denied the "outrageous" claims through her lawyer, Marina Beck, Page Six reports. Beck said there is "voluminous evidence," including judicial rulings, that Martinez repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with therapeutic and educational help for Maceo. Beck also described Martinez's behavior over the years as allegedly "erratic, possessive and violent." She said Berry would not let the case stop her from "fighting for Maceo's best interests."

Berry and Martinez were married from 2013 to 2016. Their custody battle was settled in August 2023, and Berry sought primary custody in 2024. She has been with Hunt since 2020, her first public romance since the split. Hunt proposed in 2025, and Berry accepted earlier this year.
